Bridget has spent almost a decade as  an ordained Minister through the Universal Life Church, offering ceremonies and rites of passage, such as weddings and Mother’s Blessings, to her community. Her passion for serving women, children & families brought her to the birth community in February 2013 when Bridget became a Sacred Pregnancy & Birth class Instructor ~ the first in the State of Delaware. She followed up that training by learning the skills of Bengkung Belly Binding and the  incredible art of caring for women during their postpartum period as a Mother Roaster.

A resident of Middletown, Bridget is also an IPPA-trained placenta encapsulation specialist and Sudharma Institute-trained Birth & Postpartum Doula. In addition to being a doula for women who are birthing or just postpartum, she also offers her services to any woman in need of a “Bad Day Doula.” She holds informational sessions with groups of women surrounding womb-centered care, and is passionate about talking to women about the importance of self-care and self-healing. Bridget is fluent in both Spanish and ASL.

In August 2016, Bridget also became a certified Master-level Reiki practitioner. Bridget graciously holds space for any person who needs the friendly ear, shoulder or advice of a sister, or simply just needs someone to act as a sounding board. She brings her services to the community with a fierce intensity via her business, The Barefoot Wholistic. Bridget knows she is truly blessed, and her children encourage and support her in all of her work while keeping her well-grounded in her family life.
